Located at 8425 La Mesa Blvd, La Mesa, CA 91942, United States, this charming restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy a hearty meal with family, friends, or even on a casual date night.

The moment you step inside Mario's De La Mesa Restaurant, you'll notice the inviting ambiance. The interior blends rustic charm with modern touches, creating a warm and welcoming space. Speaking of the menu, Mario's De La Mesa Restaurant offers an impressive variety of dishes that cater to all tastes. From classic American comfort food to Mediterranean-inspired meals, there's something for everyone. Their signature dishes include juicy burgers, flavorful pasta, and fresh seafood, all cooked to perfection. I’ve had the pleasure of trying their famous steak, which was perfectly grilled and seasoned just right. It’s no wonder locals often rave about the quality of the food.

One of the restaurant's standout features is its attention to detail. The chefs here don’t just cook; they create an experience with every plate. For example, the homemade sauces that accompany many dishes have a rich depth of flavor, elevating even the simplest of meals. If you’re a fan of Italian food, you won’t want to miss their lasagna - layers of tender pasta, savory meat sauce, and gooey cheese come together to form a comforting dish that feels like it was made just for you.

The restaurant also offers a variety of sides, from crispy fries to fresh salads, all of which complement the main dishes perfectly. One of my personal favorites is their garlic bread, which is always fresh, warm, and bursting with flavor. If you're in the mood for something lighter, their Caesar salad is a crowd-pleaser with its crisp romaine lettuce and tangy dressing.

For dessert, Mario's De La Mesa Restaurant doesn't disappoint. The chocolate lava cake is a must-try. It’s warm, gooey, and decadently rich - the perfect way to end a satisfying meal. Pair it with a cup of freshly brewed coffee, and you’ve got the ultimate dessert experience.

In addition to its fantastic food, Mario's De La Mesa Restaurant is also known for its great service. The waitstaff is always attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that your dining experience is seamless from start to finish. This is a cute little restaurant in the heart of downtown La Mesa. It is very adorable inside. The food we ordered was nothing too special but decent and plentiful. Their carrot cake is yummy, iI think they add coconut to it. They have outdoor seating as well. We'll definitely return here. Staff was friendly.

Cute Mexican restaurant in La Mesa. We enjoyed our breakfast of huevos rancheros and enchiladas. We will be back!

We had an amazing lunch at Mario’s in La Mesa. Standout dishes were the mixed fajitas that arrived piping hot and sizzling at the table and the vegetarian bean tostada. We also enjoyed the Pacifico beer. Definitely get the guacamole appetizer to enjoy with the free salsa and chips.

We can tell why this restaurant has been around and successful since the early 1980s. It is amazing. We have seen this spot several times when going through La mesa. We decided that today was the day to stop in. We are so happy we did. The atmosphere, even on a rainy day, was really welcoming and fun. The colorful decor and friendly service just made the experience even better. We tried a few different things today. The #15, which is a trio of tacos, had delicious meat cooked to perfection. 1 chicken, 1 carne asada, and 1 carnitas taco with rice and beans. Yes, please. We will get that again. The next plate was the carne asada burrito in chimichanga style. Yum!! I tried a mexican coffee that had hints of cinnamon and brown sugar in it. I was so happy with that but of hot goodness. We can't wait to go back to try the chicken mole, chicken Colorado , enchiladas, and fajitas. We will see them again several times this year. You should check them out too!!

I’m honesty upset I have not tried this place sooner after living in La Mesa for over 3 years I only now tried this spot! The food is very tasty. I had the steak ranchero which the beef was very tender and you can taste the spices. The beans are creamy and delicious! The rice was also cooked wonderfully! The only thing I wished they had spicier salsa! But the salsa that comes with the chips is authentic and fresh, really good! This is my New Mexican spot in La Mesa
